Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there, especially mine. We had a terrific day Sunday, starting with church in the morning in Granges:
The best part of the day for us was playing Belote, a French card game, with Patrick's Mom Ida. It is a game for four people that is a lot of fun, and Ren learned it quickly. Ren and Patrick beat Ida and me for two matches out of three. We played all afternoon (since it was about 50 degrees outside) and had a great time. Some of you may know that I descend from some of the best Old Maid players in America (in their minds at least) so playing cards is always an enjoyable way to pass a cold afternoon.
